OH my!!!

teaching is said to be the noblest profession.... the teacher as the one who helps to mold the citizens of the future.. to prepare them to become the finest and if not at least productive citizens... great attention is being given to education that even the government is prorating huge amount of money just for the education...
but sad to say... in the Philippines the budget for education (the big amount they say) is not reaching to its proper destination coz it reaches only up to the pocket of the greedy politicians and government employees...
ending, lack of books... lack of classrooms... lack of teachers... BUT!!!! though the scenario is like this still the government is asking for the teachers to give the best out of them for they aim to give quality education.. poor teachers, working all day (almost 24 hours, why? before 7am you must be in school for the flag ceremony then after that facing your teaching loads like 8 subjects for the whole day and more than 40 or 50 pupils in the class to manage, have a fifteen minute break in the morning then go home at 11:45 am. be back before 1 pm and teach again up to 4:00 pm. then go home if you like but right after having a snack you better start making your lesson plans again for the next day and make visual aids and charts coz the government is not providing it.. then sleep around 11pm just to wake up again early the following day ---- that's 5 days a week but during weekends checking of other school related stuffs) -- what a job isn't it???
then pay day comes.. yahoo!!! hooray!!! only Php 10,933 for Teacher-I, but you won't get that amount for lots of deductions must be subtracted from it... BIR tax, loans, GSIS, pag-ibig etc and etc... (sigh!!!!)
what if you got kids... you have to give them their basic needs and of course their wants; and send them to school - so what will be the remaining amount for you now????
teaching really is a noble profession in the Philippines, isn't it???
lots of work but not well compensated... tsk.. tsk.. tsk...
